Baanderos now in Russia

Twice World Champion Stallion Baanderos (Marwan Al Shaqab / HB Bessolea), *2005 was given as a present by his former owner Prince Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Al Khalediah Studfarm, to the Russian Government. Along with him came also the bay mare Layan al Khalediah (Dakharo / Padrons Amour) *2006. The two horses came from the Saudi desert to snowy Moscow already earlier this year.

Baanderos has many major show victories to his credit, such as 2010 Salon du Cheval World Gold Champion Senior Stallion, 2008 Salon du Cheval World Gold Champion Junior Colt, 2010 All Nations Cup Gold Champion Senior Stallion, 2008 All Nations Cup Gold Champion Junior Colt, 2011 Dubai International Gold Champion Senior Stallion and 2010 Qatar International Gold Champion Senior Stallion making him the most victorious show horse in Russia.
Baanderos is in good company, when it comes to State Gifts, just think of Aswan (Nazeer / Yosreia), presented by the Egyptian President Nasser to the Russian Government in 1963 and Sirdar (Nejma Zomorrod / Santa-Padova Statement), *1998 given by the UAE to Russia in 2004, together with some mares. Sirdar still lives in Tersk Stud.
