Arabische Pferde – IN THE FOCUS

News from Janow Podlaski Stud

The ANR announced on their website, that the Shareholders Assembly of Janow Podlaski appointed Mateusz Jaworski as acting member of the Janow Podlaski Stud board. This board presently consists of two people, Mateusz Jaworski and Marek Skomorowski.

Among his working experience, the website mentions that “he has worked for the largest studs in Europe and the Middle East, including the Arctic Tern Centre in Belgium, one of the largest Arabian horse centres,” and “In the course of his duties he was responsible for creating a vision of the studs’ development and management, as well as preparing breeding programs and the organization of international horse shows.”
Johanna Ullström of Arctic Tern Training Center puts this statement into perspective, at least as far as her Training Center is concerned: “Mateusz spent some time here as a groom and had nothing to do with any management decisions whatsoever, and was not involved in our breeding program in any way at all.”
The website further states: “As a member of ECAHO, which brings together European and Middle Eastern Arabian horse organizations, he has numerously been at the head of Disciplinary Committees during the largest Arabian horse shows in Europe and the Middle East.” This has been vehemently contradicted by the President of ECAHO, who stated: “The newly appointed person [Mateusz Jaworski] is not – and never was – a member of any ECAHO Commission or Committee. This person is not – and never was – a representative of Poland in ECAHO. This person was only acting as Disciplinary Committee member or Ringmaster at several ECAHO shows of lower categories.”
Sooner or later, it will come true here as well: Pride comes before the fall…
