Vergessen Sie Ihre Vorurteile \u00fcber dieses Land  &#8211; die Gastfreundschaft der deutsch-iranischen Familie, die seit Jahren Wanderitte im Zagros-Gebirge und in Khuzestan organisiert, wird Sie eines Besseren belehren.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Es ist alles so gr\u00fcn hier&#8221;, wundere ich mich. Das war bei meinem ersten Besuch im Iran vor 15 Jahren ganz anders. &#8220;Ja, wir hatten dieses Fr\u00fchjahr so viel Regen wie noch nie&#8221;, erkl\u00e4rt mir Katharina Ghalavand, als wir den Blick \u00fcber den Flu\u00df Karoun gleiten lassen. Hier, hoch oben \u00fcber der Aghili-Schlucht hat die Reitergruppe, die seit rund einer Woche in Khuzestan unterwegs ist, ihr Camp aufgeschlagen. Zwischenzeitlich hat Tochter Katayoun in eine iranische Pferdez\u00fcchterfamilie eingeheiratet, und so hat das &#8220;Unternehmen&#8221; Unterst\u00fctzung erhalten. Heute organisieren die beiden Familien wenigstens zwei Ritte j\u00e4hrlich, einen im Zagros-Gebirge nahe der Farm von Katharina und ihrem Mann Amir, und diesen hier in Khuzestan, wo Katayoun und ihr Mann Shahab leben.<br \/>\nDie Ritte werden mit deutscher Gr\u00fcndlichkeit vorbereitet, denn auch nach fast 30 Jahren im Iran, hat Katharina kaum etwas davon abgelegt &#8211; zumindest nicht, wenn es um Pferde geht. Sowohl in ihrer eigenen Pferdezucht, wie auch bei diesen Wanderritten merkt man, dass Katharina als Pferdewirtschaftsmeisterin die n\u00f6tige Fachkenntnis mitbringt. Und so sind S\u00e4ttel und Zaumzeuge aus Europa importiert und in guter Ordnung, wird Strecke und Tempo dem K\u00f6nnen der Reitergruppe angepasst, und besteht die M\u00f6glichkeit, Pferde zu tauschen, sollte sich ein Reiter auf dem ihm zugedachten Hengst nicht wohlf\u00fchlen. Und ja, die meisten Pferde sind Hengste, Zuchthengste sogar. &#8220;Ich betrachte die Wanderritte als eine Art Leistungspr\u00fcfung. Dabei kann ich am besten herausfinden, ob ein Hengst charakterlich und k\u00f6rperlich den Anforderungen gewachsen ist. color:#d4a409\"><strong>Angepflockt statt Weidegang<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Die charakterliche Eignung kommt nicht nur beim Zusammenspiel mit dem Menschen zum Tragen, sondern auch bei den Pferden untereinander. Sie m\u00fcssen vertr\u00e4glich sein, denn die Hengste werden am Lagerplatz lediglich an einem 2-3 m langen Seil an einem Haken angebunden, der in den Boden geschlagen wird. So stehen vier bis f\u00fcnf Hengste im Abstand von ein paar Metern gem\u00fctlich beisammen, ohne dass einer auch nur einen Mucks macht oder den Huf hebt. Die f\u00fcr uns undenkbare Haltung wird im Iran h\u00e4ufig praktiziert und bei n\u00e4herem Hinschauen ist sie sicher der reinen Boxenhaltung vorzuziehen: Die Pferde k\u00f6nnen sich bewegen und k\u00f6nnen am Geschehen auf der Farm teilhaben. In dieser Anpflockhaltung werden sie auch gef\u00fcttert. Diese Haltungsform ist in ganz Arabien verbreitet, zumindest dort, wo Pferde noch in &#8220;traditioneller&#8221; Art gehalten werden und stammt aus der Nomadenzeit. Auch damals, bei den Beduinen, mu\u00dften die Pferde vor dem Zelt angepflockt warten, bis ihr Reiter sie forderte. Und dass die Nomaden keine Weiden kennen, geht aus ihrer Lebensweise hervor.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size:120%; color:#d4a409\"><strong>Ein rustikales Abenteuer<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Am Abend kommen die Reiter aus Shushtar zur\u00fcck und wir sitzen gem\u00fctlich am Lagerfeuer. Der Tisch &#8211; oder besser der Teppich, denn im Iran wird auf dem Boden gegessen &#8211; ist reich gedeckt mit traditionellem persischen Essen, daf\u00fcr haben Katayoun und ihre Helfer gesorgt. Es geht rustikal zu auf diesem Ritt, und wer vornehme Lodges mit Dusche am Abend erwartet, der hat sich den falschen Ritt ausgew\u00e4hlt. Hier wird in Zelten und Schlafs\u00e4cken \u00fcbernachtet, und Wasser gibt es im Karoun-Flu\u00df gen\u00fcgend &#8211; f\u00fcr so manchen zivilisationsgesch\u00e4digten Teilnehmer ist allein schon dies ein Abenteuer. Und auch, einmal einen Araberhengst zu reiten, ist f\u00fcr manche abenteuerlich &#8211; so auch f\u00fcr die Teilnehmer der Gruppe aus \u00d6sterreich, die von zuhause nur Warmbl\u00fcter kennen. &#8220;Aber ich habe mich mit Shimbar gut angefreundet, er ist toll &#8211; man darf ihn nur nicht bei jedem Schritt kontrollieren wollen. Einfach gehen lassen, der macht das schon!&#8221;, meint Josef. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size:120%; color:#d4a409\"><strong>Migration in die Berge<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Die Vorfahren unserer Pferde &#8211; und das liegt nur wenige Pferdegenerationen zur\u00fcck &#8211; haben noch zweimal im Jahr die Berge \u00fcberqueren m\u00fcssen, auf ihren Wanderungen vom Sommer- ins Winterquartier und umgekehrt&#8221;, erkl\u00e4rt Katharina. &#8220;Wir unternehmen diese Ritte auch im Angedenken an Mary Gharagozlou, die diese Geschichten oft erz\u00e4hlt hat. F\u00fcr sie waren diese Trecks der beste Weg, die Leistung und das psychische Potenzial ihrer Pferde einzusch\u00e4tzen. Der zweiw\u00f6chige Treck ging damals \u00fcber 300-400 km, von den Niederungen in Khuzestan zum Sommerquartier in der N\u00e4he von Hamadan, auf etwa 1700 m gelegen, wobei P\u00e4sse von 3000 m \u00fcberquert werden mu\u00dften. Und so halten wir es auch mit unseren Ritten, wenngleich unser Nomadenritt im Zagros-Gebirge heute &#8216;nur noch&#8217; \u00fcber rund 270 km in sieben Tagen geht.&#8221;<br \/>\nDie Reiter aus \u00d6sterreich sind insbesondere beeindruckt von der Trittsicherheit der Pferde &#8211; aber das wird auch schon von Fohlenalter an traininert. Wenn Katharina in die Umgegend der Farm ausreitet, nimmt sie die Fohlen und Jungpferde mit. Auf diese Weise werden sie ausgesprochen trittsicher und lernen alle Gefahren &#8220;da drau\u00dfen&#8221; von klein auf kennen, wie beispielsweise steile An- und Abstiege, ausgetrocknete Flu\u00dfbetten und Wasserl\u00e4ufe. Ich selbst kann mich nicht erinnern, jemals ein Pferd geritten zu haben, das so trittsicher war wie die kleine, alte Schimmelstute Roxana, die ich vor 15 Jahren hier bei Katharina geritten habe. Pl\u00f6tzlich wird die Lagerfeuerromantik j\u00e4h unterbrochen, als ein Gewitter heraufzieht und jeder schnell in sein Zelt fl\u00fcchtet.<br \/>\nAm n\u00e4chsten Morgen kommt langsam Leben in das Camp, das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck wird bereitet und die Reiter kriechen aus ihren Schlafs\u00e4cken. Nach einer Katzenw\u00e4sche am Flu\u00df und einem reichhaltigen Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck wird das Zelt eingepackt und wieder aufgesessen. Der Ritt startet auf seine letzte Etappe am Salz-Flu\u00df Rude Shur entlang, teils durch die wild zerkl\u00fcftete Vorgebirgslandschaft parallel zum Zagrosgebirge, teils durch Felder, die in frischem Gr\u00fcn erstrahlen. Nach f\u00fcnf Stunden erreicht die Gruppe den n\u00e4chsten Lagerplatz in einem Naturschutz-Reservat am Kuoron, umgeben von einer Auenlandschaft, die zahlreichen V\u00f6geln Lebensraum bietet. Reza l\u00e4\u00dft es sich nicht nehmen, mit den Pferden schwimmen zu gehen, aber offensichtlich hatte das Gewitter am Vorabend an anderer Stelle heftig gew\u00fctet, der Flu\u00df f\u00fchrt weit mehr Wasser als sonst und die beiden hatten Gl\u00fcck, nicht von der Str\u00f6mung mitgerissen worden zu sein. Zum letzten Mal baut die Gruppe ihre Zelte auf, zum letzten mal versammeln sich alle um das Lagerfeuer. Die M\u00e4nner ziehen ihre Bakhtiaren-Trachten an und steigen nochmals auf die Pferde, um zu zeigen, dass die Araber auch so richtig loslegen k\u00f6nnen! Ein Folkloretanz, der im Sonnenuntergang und mit ernster Mine vorgetragen wird, leutet den Abend ein. <\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-size:120%; color:#d4a409\"><strong>Iran ist eine Reise wert<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u00dcbrigens lohnt es sich, ein paar Tage anzuh\u00e4ngen, um die kulturellen Sch\u00e4tze des Landes zu besuchen. Da w\u00e4re zum Beispiel der Imam-Platz in Isfahan, der zu den sch\u00f6nsten Pl\u00e4tzen der Welt z\u00e4hlt, die vielen Moscheen mit ihren t\u00fcrkisfarbenen und blauen Keramikkacheln, die Windt\u00fcrme in Yazd, der Shaz-deh Garten bei Kerman, die Zitadelle von Bam, ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, und vieles, vieles mehr.<br \/>\nAnfang M\u00e4rz ist die beste Zeit, diese Gegend in Khuzestan zu bereisen. &#8220;In ein, zwei Wochen wird es hier bis zu 40\u00b0C hei\u00df sein, und alles wird gelb, was jetzt noch so sch\u00f6n gr\u00fcn aussieht&#8221;, erkl\u00e4rt Katharina. Dann werden auch Katayoum und Shahab ihrer Farm hier in Khuzestan f\u00fcr einige Monate den R\u00fccken kehren und in das Zagros-Gebirge auf die Farm von Katharina ziehen &#8211; fast wie die Nomaden fr\u00fcher.
