Today, the 16-year-old bay mare Preria (Ararat / Pipi), owned by Halsdon Arabians, died while on lease to Janow Podlaski Stud. She was sold during the 2009 “Pride of Poland Auction” for 230.000 €.
This is a sad day for Halsdon Arabians, but what makes Preria’s demise a piece of news today, is the fact that she died in a very similar way to Pianissima. Back then, in October 2015, it was during the responsibility of Marek Trela as stud director when Pianissmia’s unfortunate demise happened. Today, Preria died while Mateusz Jaworski has the responsibility on his first day of duty (see “News from Janow Podlaski”). As Marek Trela was fired recently, giving the death of Pianissima as reason, we are curious what consequences the death of Preria will have for Mr. Jaworski.
