Again change of director in Janow Podlaski

Pietrzak-300pxOn 7th March, Slawomir Pietrzak was dismissed from his post as Director (“President of the Board”) of the Polish National Stud Janow Podlaski with immediate effect. His position will be taken temporarily by Grzegorz Czochanski, the director of the Department of Supervision over Strategic Companies within the KOWR (former ANR), the supervising body of the state studs. Slawomir Pietrzak mentioned in an interview with the Polish news portal “Onet”, that presumably his refusal to agree on the relocation of the National Championships and Pride of Poland auction from Janow Podlaski to the racetrack in Warszaw might be the reason for his dismissal. But, he also said, that he was not given any reasons. He hold this position since June 2016.
His successor will be announced in a couple of months after the position has been advertised. Pietrzak himself is professor for agricultural science and plans to go back to his university in Lublin. He is also an international dressage judge and equestrian trainer.
