Moira and Nayla Al Samarraie are qualified for Youth WC Endurance

The young endurance riders Nayla and Moira Al Samarraie from Rotenburg, Germany, have qualified for the Youth World Championships in Pisa San Rossore in Italy from 17 to 22 September.

19-year-old Nayla and her 21-year-old sister Moira are both members of the perspective group of endurance riding created in 2017. Moira was German Junior Champion in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and will ride in Pisa with the self-bred mare Olympia Al Samarra on the 120-kilometer course. Nayla Al Samarraie is the current German Youth Champion and was Vice-Champion in 2016 and 2017. She starts with the mare Warsana. Both participated last year in the European Youth Championships, which also took place in Pisa.

“Since they were already in Pisa last year, they know the track there, which is definitely an advantage,” says Nico Hörmann, discipline coordinator of endurance riding at the German Olympic Committee for Riding (DOKR). “In addition, their qualification once again confirms that we have selected the right riders for the perspective group.”
