Over the Rainbowbridge – Vodolej

And another legend has left us: Vodolej now trots on greener pastures.
Who does not remember his appearance at Aachen 2003, when he outtrotted any of the handlers who took him in turns. His trot was his trade mark, he was never tired to show himself trotting – goosbumps included.
Horses like him will stay in our collective memory. Not because they were so “ultra-refined” and beautiful, or so very correct in conformation. No. But he was a true personality, he had fun at the show and he was spectators darling in Aachen. At the age of 32, he now stepped down from the stage – but who ever saw him in Aachen, will never forget him.
His sire was Mashuk, so he was a halfbrother to Gips, Veteran, Pamir and Prikumsk, but not used as much in the breeding barn.
