Korej Line in General

Let us consider another Russian line, the development of which was made possible due to Kann who was imported from France (1927). As is evident from the history of the Arabian horse, Latif’s line (1903) via Denouste is by far the world’s leading racing and endurance line, thanks in particular to the Russian breeders. Denouste’s son Kann had the greatest impact in Russia on the formation of the Russian Arabian type, especially in the first decade after the Second World War.
Due to his outstanding and exceptional endurance, stamina, and prepotency of characteristics transmitted to his descendants, Kann’s son Korej (1939, dam: Rixalina) was treated as a distinct line. Korej’s line is still distinguished by good riding type with regular body structure, a beautiful neat triangular head and expressive eyes. However, due to the high demand both in foreign and Russian market, we are currently experiencing difficulties within pure Russian breeding because of the rather low variability of this line’s representatives.
