From August 7th to 10th, 2020 the Janów Podlaski Stud will host the 42nd Polish National Championship and the 51st Pride of Poland auction with summer sale. The event is organized by the Polish Jockey Club, with Frederick de Backer and Erik Blaack as auctioneers.
One million złoty (approx. € 250,000) prize money will be handed out for the National Championship. Four hundred thousand zlotys go to the breeders of the five best horses in their classes. The champions are also rewarded and the breeder of the “Best in Show” receives a price of 70,000 złoty. This is the highest prize money ever awarded to a national championship in Poland.
Bialka’s 9-year-old Perfinka (Esparto / Perfirka) is said to be the driving force of this year’s auction. Michalow Stud sells a Marajj embryo out of Emandoria and an embryo out of Wieża Mocy.
