With great sadness we have to inform that one of the most well-known contemporary artists with regards to Arabian horses, Cary van Dansik, has passed away on 15th August 2022.
Born in 1947 in Harleem, the Netherlands, as the son of a butcher, he had to follow his father’s trade, which eventually turned out to have a positive influence on his later career as a bronze sculptor, knowing the anatomy of animals inside and out. He started already as a child to draw horses – and this passion did not leave him until his last day. All his skills were selftaught, and yet his bronze sculptures have admirers all over the world, his clients living in Europe, USA and the Middle East.
