More than 130 Arabian horses will be offered at this year’s ARQANA auction on October 3rd in St. Cloud, France. The majority are two-year-old racehorses, and horses in training. But there are also some horses that might be of interest to endurance riders or breeders, e.g. descendants of Persicko, Aziz de Gargassan, Sadepers and Castlebar Gulfstream.
For breeders of French racing Arabians the reduction of the stud of Yves Plantin is interesting, one of the most famous breeders in France.
Arqana auction list
The auction will take place a few days before the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Paris-Longchamps on 4th and 5th October. 16 races will be held this weekend, nine of which are Group 1 races. Included is the Qatar Arabian World Cup, a race for 4-year-old and older purebred Arabians, with a purse of 1 million euros.
